  This place is a gem! It's tucked away and not very busy - but it is fantastic! The only downside is, I feel, the prices were too high.
  
  The decor is authentic and the menu offers a variety of tastes from the Mediterranean.
  
  We got the tzaziki dip as an app and the pits was warm with creamy, cool tzaziki sauce.
  
  I got the kafta - savory ground sirloin over basmati rice with onion and tzazki served with salad and humus & pita.
  
  The experience was superior and we'll definitely be back.

  I've been here twice now and thoroughly enjoyed both experiences. I've eaten Lebanese and middle eastern food many times at many different restaurants in Toronto, where the food scene is a lot more multicultural. Open Sesame can compete with any of those restaurants and brings a touch of middle eastern culture to the East Village where there aren't many other options like this one. It's a unique and high quality option in the East Village for lunch or dinner.
